“How long are butterflies in the caterpillar stage?”

I sheepishly typed this into my search engine, hoping that somehow the stages of the butterfly could give me guidance about my own personal development.

Come to find out, the butterfly process is pretty simple. According to websites on Google, the butterfly has four stages,

  1. egg

  2. caterpillar

  3. chrysalis

  4. butterfly

The Process

At each stage, there is a butterfly. An insect bound for the skies. In the hardening stage of chrysalis, there is a mushy, gooey, butterfly. At the egg stage, there is a butterfly. And even when we see a colorful, fat caterpillar, who’s primary function is to munch on leaves (seriously), there is a butterfly. But the process is where wings are developed.
